Emma Owens

Operations Manager and Program Analyst

Emma Owens is the Operations Manager & Program Analyst at The Center for Violence-Free Relationships in Placerville, CA. At The Center, she uses performance management to improve the effectiveness and quality of services provided to those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Owens received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento in Women’s Studies in 2008. It was during her undergraduate studies that she began volunteering at The Center. During Owens’ volunteer work, she served as a peer counselor to teen survivors of sexual assault and became committed to working to end gender and sexual violence.

Her work at The Center has evolved from an administrative counselor to implementing a paperless file system and helping drive The Center into a performance management agency. She lives in a small house with her husband and two dogs on her family’s ranch. Emma Owens is proud to say that she lives and serves in the same community that she was born and raised.

The Strong Field Project Leadership Development Program has given me the platform needed to grow my leadership style and skill sets, while at the same time connecting me with others in the Domestic Violence Field. I feel like I have a connection to not only people doing similar work, but I am now connected to a movement of dedicated leaders.
