Goretty Ramos

Mental Health Clinician II

Goretty Ramos is the Director of Programs at WomenShelter of Long Beach. Contributing in various capacities to the WomenShelter for over six years, Ramos has provided direct service and program coordination. Earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Women Studies from UC Irvine, Ramos is trained and certified to work with victims and survivors of sexual assault. She served as a volunteer with the YWCA in Compton, was involved on the UCI Student Advisory Board for The Center for Women and Men and worked with women’s and gender issues through school organizations focused on social justice.

Ramos is also trained in working with victims of human trafficking through her volunteer work with the Los Angeles Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Traffic-CAST LA. With a passion for nonprofit work, Goretty Ramos says that she loves her current job and field. “I am lucky to meet so many wonderful and dedicated people through our collaborating partners and amongst my peers who inspired me to continue the work I do.” In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with her partner and cats.
