Olga Diaz

Becky's House Domestic Violence Program Client Service Manager

As the Client Service Manager of the YWCA’s Becky’s House Domestic Violence Program, Olga Diaz oversees the staff and daily operations of a 30-day emergency shelter and three 18-month transitional housing programs. Entering the field of violence prevention in 2001, she’s held various positions at the YWCA of San Diego County. Diaz has experience working with diverse populations and program treatment models including those designed for: trauma, homeless individuals and families, victims of domestic violence, children and substance abuse. Actively involved in the community, she is a member of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council and Shelter and Support Services Committee.

Happily married, Olga Diaz is a proud mother to two wonderful young men- Miguel (11), Jiovani (15) and a little girl- Missy (Chihuahua) who is three years old.

The entire experience has transformed my outlook of my "leadership role" in my agency and community. It has provided me with the tools and confidents to step in and be part of the movement. I am currently working with a small but powerful group of advocates in the San Diego County and our goal is to organize a "Domestic Violence Immigration Advocacy Committee" a first of its kind in San Diego County.
