Rabeya Sen sees herself as forever an advocate. She has worked for over 16 years in the field of domestic violence prevention, an issue that touched her heart with its insidious nature and the universality of dynamics faced by survivors all over the world. She began this work in college and continues in the field, having worked in both direct services and policy advocacy. Rabeya also worked in both ethnic-specific and mainstream domestic violence programs. Currently, Rabeya is the Manager of DV Programs for Prototypes in Los Angeles, where they provide residential and non-residential services to DV survivors who are also struggling with co-occurring issues of substance abuse and/or mental illness.
When possible, she tries to find opportunities to combine her love of art with her passion for social justice. Rabeya also enjoys music, a day at the beach, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
