Rodney Clark

Executive Director, Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments

Rodney Clark was hired as SAVE’s Executive Director in November 1995. With a male at the helm, it becomes obvious that domestic violence is not “just a women’s issue.” Rodney came to SAVE from Florence Crittenton Services in San Francisco where, as Assistant CEO, he helped to establish an emergency shelter for pregnant and parenting teens who were victims of domestic violence. Prior to that, for over eleven years, Rodney worked at Miramonte Mental Health Services in Palo Alto. He earned his BA in Psychology from Pomona College in Claremont, CA and an MS in Counseling from San Francisco State University.

Rodney Clark is a member of the East Bay Asian Pacific Islander Coalition, Domestic Violence Collaborative of Alameda County, Greater Bay Area Domestic Violence Directors and Leadership Fremont Class of 2006. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Alameda County Domestic Advisory Council, the Washington Hospital Foundation, and the City of Fremont Housing Scholarship Board.
