Family Violence Law Center

Developing A System for Program Evaluation

The Family Violence Law Center (FVLC) works to end domestic violence in Alameda County. Its holistic approach integrates comprehensive protection and prevention services for abuse survivors with efforts to address and challenge barriers within the legal, health, education, and criminal justice systems.

The Strong Field Project is supporting Family Violence Law Center to:

  • Develop a new system for meaningful and ongoing program evaluation
  • Draw upon the expertise of consultants to analyze the Center’s current business model

Instead of myopic solutions, FVLC focuses on long-term social change and the larger culture of violence, in order to lay the groundwork for a stronger DV field of the future. By developing effective business and evaluation strategies, the Center provides a model for other DV organizations working to maximize the impact of their resources and ensure their sustainability.
