Maricela Rios-Faust, LCSW, received a Bachelor in Psychology from California State University Fullerton in 1996 and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2001. Rios-Faust has over 12 years’ experience with high-risk populations and communities. Currently the Chief Operations Officer at Human Options, a non-profit agency that assists victims of domestic violence, she is on the Board of Directors for the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV) and the Co-Chair of the CPEDV Public Policy Review Committee for the Southern Region. Rios-Faust also serves on the Steering Committees of the Safe from the Start Initiative, Santa Ana Building Healthy Communities, and the Early Childhood Mental Health Initiative. For the past 6 years, she has continued her involvement in education by serving as a Field Instructor for social workers and received the special designation of Master Field Instructor from USC’s School of Social Work.
Happily married, the proud mother of a 2 year-old Nicole, she says that motherhood is teaching her to live a more balanced life.
